Assessment
Sussex Children’s Centre provides a multi-disciplinary team of therapists who work jointly together to truly be a team around the child.
The first session with one of our specialist therapists will always involve an assessment. The therapist will need to obtain a complete picture of your child’s needs, whether it is speech and language, sensory and motor development, visual perceptual, social, emotional, learning or independence skills. We can provide assessment in our LightHouse clinic in Newick or where appropriate at home or in school.
This means that the therapist will have a good understanding of your child’s difficulties and needs so that they can agree the best course of action with you.
We want to work with you so we understand that sometimes you may only want an assessment and then want to wait for NHS therapy.
