The LightHouse Clinic is different as we are able to provide an integrated therapy approach, where the Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Play therapist work very closely together even running joint therapy sessions. Our therapists are highly skilled at identifying a child's multi-disciplinary needs, therefore we can highlight this immediately and make a referral within our team for you to be seen quickly. Our team will continue to liaise with your consent to look at the whole child’s holistic needs and form an effective therapy plan.
We offer a range of therapy options:
- Intensive Block of therapy consisting of about 30 sessions delivered within about 6 weeks
- Weekly therapy (or more frequent) in clinic or chosen setting
- Fortnightly therapy in clinic or chosen setting
- Monthly monitoring to review and update advice and strategies
- Termly educational visits to review and update strategies and advice.
- Supportive therapy through the parents and cares, offering advice.
- Group therapy through our pre-school and primary school after schools clubs. (this to be a link)
- Joint therapy sessions with two therapists (SALT & OT, SALT & Play, or OT & SALT).
- NHS Backup service where we can carry out NHS programmes left for parents and school to carryout.
We are happy to provide therapy in our clinic or within an educational setting where appropriate. We are also happy to provide group therapy in our clinic or at an educational setting, where a group of parents identify two or more children with similar therapy needs. The therapist will discuss with you whether the children’s needs match and could work together effectively.
We feel it is very important to fully liaise with everyone concerned with the child, so that everyone is working together to get the best results in the shortest time possible. In order to do this we have a variety of therapy packages.
